Steve, the DM, here. Peter I am deeply sorry that I left you so angry Wednesday evening. Had I known that the RP award would offend any I would have withheld the idea and just let everyone vote for MVP. But I made a decision and as a DM I must stick with my decision. Everyone: Dan, Kurt, Matt, Michael, and you, did great. Everyone roleplayed their asses off. It was a hard decision, but nevertheless it was a decision that was made. The reason behind the awards is to create incentive for everyone to play well. Next time it just might be you. Also, don't complain about someone getting everything until you finish traversing the dungeon where much more treasure awaits.
